Haribo Dinosaur Gummies 57/365

Feb 25, 2017

Haribo Dinosaur Gummies

Well it was a long busy day for the little one today.  Her back teeth are coming in so it's made for some long nights and even earlier mornings for her.  So today to tucker her out Amanda and I took her to the mall down the street.  Now that her brain is growing exponentially she LOVES running around stores and checking everything out.  Hell, I still enjoy doing that..LOL.

First thing upon entering she pulls her tiny hand away from mine and ran over to the candy machines, completely fascinated.  We ran around a bunch and in another section they had another candy table, the one where you fill your own bag for an outrageous fee of $16 dollars a pound.  Well, I'm sure as heck not paying that, but it did get me thinking about Haribo dinosaur gummies.  :)  So we drove to World Market (Amanda's favorite stores) and picked up a bag there.

Shot today's image with the good ol Olympus OMD EM-5 with kit lens 12-50mm (Macro).  With the right lighting this camera still produces outstanding results.  I love it.  I figure I'd shoot another candy thing because all of March will be mainly street photography/travel shots.  My military AT is that month and I'll be out of the country for most of March.

Back to the shoot, took the fish tank from the ink shoot and turned it on it's side, some tin foil for bokeh and shot handheld from above.  F/6 is the lowest aperture the lens will give in macro mode so I just stuck with that to maximize the bokeh best I could.  I started the shoot with the D810 and some macro tubes, but didn't really care for the results all to much, while reaching for another SD card, I grabbed the OMD and gave the macro another turn.  You can see more results of the OMD here.

Not bad for a kit lens.

Well, taking her to the mall worked and she is super tired tonight.

This morning was filled with tons of coloring, Myrt can't get enough of her crayons.

Cheers everyone,  until tomorrow.
